How to Buy Used Cell Phones Without Losing Your Shirt

So you just happen to be in the market for a cellular phone but you can’t decide which one you want because they all seem so terribly expensive! Fortunately, this isn’t like the early days of cellular phones when you only had a few choices. I’m sure you remember those big gray monsters with the flip tops. Most people don’t want to go back to those days, but for those that do there’s some good news, you can probably buy that particular model on e-bay and have it activated at its provider of origin.

For those who want to get a decent cell phone that is up to date without breaking the bank, it’s probably a good idea to buy used cell phones. How exactly would you go about doing this. There are quite a few ways actually, and we’ll go over each one of them.

The first thing that you can do is go to the cellular phone provider that you want service with to buy used cell phones. They normally have a decent selection of refurbished phones and they’re not too shabby either. You could find anything from last year’s greatest hit to this year’s newest cell phone. That might be a little more expensive than the others but you did still get a discount!

The nest thing that you might want to try is shopping at a pawnshop. Pawnshops generally pay very little for the merchandise that they acquire, and though they might sell it to you at a slightly higher price than they paid, you’re still going to come out on top. More so than you would if you bought new that is.

Just be warned that electronics from a pawnshop do not come with any sort of warranty. If it malfunctions or doesn’t work in the way that you expected then you will not be able to get a refund and in most cases, you won’t be able to exchange it. This is the risk that you run when buying from a pawnshop.

The last and probably best option hat you have is to actually buy from an online store. Amazon and eBay have the best track record and greatest reputation when dealing with online merchandise. Just like in real life though, you need to pay attention to who you are buying from when you buy used cell phones because if you buy from the wrong seller you may find that your phone either does not arrive or does not work at all.

It is recommended that you always check the seller’s feedback. If they don’t have a very high rating, which is to say below 90%, then they probably aren’t a good merchant to deal with. It is best to find those that have been with the site for a very long time, or if at all possible find a power seller.

It’s not easy to buy used cell phones, but if you get the right seller or merchant, it can be a very rewarding experience. There’s nothing quite like buying new, but when you’re on a budget this may just be what you have to do. So look around and see where you can buy used cell phones!
